CarAi is operated as a product and division of EV.com Corp. (“CarAi,” “we,” “our”). We provide an AI-powered platform for dealerships at https://www.carai.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information from:

Dealership users:
sales teams, managers, and staff who log in or connect CarAi to their systems, including through our dealership admin platform at https://admin.carai.com
Visitors:
anyone who browses our website or tries our AI voice/chat demos without creating an account.

By using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and applicable federal Canadian laws. For users located in the United States, we also comply with applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and similar state laws as they come into effect

1. Information We Collect

We collect information when you interact with CarAi:

  • Account & Business Details: name, business email, phone number, dealership name, address, hours, or inventory data you provide to configure CarAi

  • Usage Data: call audio, transcriptions, demo inputs (voice, text, or email you provide), in-app actions, and support tickets

  • Device / Technical Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, cookies or similar identifiers

2. How We Use Information

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide and improve our Services (e.g., route calls, generate transcripts, personalize AI responses)

  • Troubleshoot issues, run analytics, and measure product performance

  • Secure accounts and prevent fraud or misuse

  • Send updates, product news, or marketing emails (if you’ve opted in)

  • Meet legal requirements and enforce our Terms

  • We may also use personal information to comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, or respond to lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement

If you are located outside of Canada or the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in these countries. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place when personal information is transferred internationally.

  • Dealer-Integrated Vendors: CRMs, DMS, or OEM systems that you choose to connect to CarAi

  • Advisors & Legal: auditors, insurers, or lawyers under confidentiality obligations

  • Legal & Safety: to comply with laws, court orders, or protect rights and safety

  • Business Transactions: if CarAi is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale, data may transfer to new owners under the same protections

  • Aggregated / De-Identified Data: shared for analytics or research where individuals cannot be identified

We require our service providers and vendors to implement safeguards and contractual obligations that protect your information and limit its use to providing services to us. Subcontractors are only permitted where equivalent protections are in place.

5. Data Retention

  • Account Data: kept while your account is active, plus a limited period afterward unless required by law

  • Calls, Transcripts & Demos: stored until you request deletion; verified requests are honored within 90 days

  • Advisors & Legal: auditors, insurers, or lawyers under confidentiality obligations

  • Analytics & Logs: typically retained up to 3 months, then aggregated or deleted

6. Your Choices

  • Update or Delete Data: contact us at support@carai.ai to update or delete your account details

  • Marketing Preferences: unsubscribe anytime from marketing emails

  • Call & Demo Deletion: request deletion by emailing support@carai.ai with enough detail to locate the data

Depending on your location, you may also have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, request portability of your data, or withdraw your consent to processing. These rights can be exercised by contacting support@carai.com

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 16 (or the minimum age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously work to protect your information. In the event of a security breach that compromises personal information, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities in accordance with applicable law.
